Scattering Moments

Joong Jung Gallery (Booth B03) presents Scattering Moments, a solo exhibition by Jinpyo Jun at this year’s HIVE Art Fair. Paintings of varying dimensions stand irregularly throughout the center of the booth — not on walls, but in space — inviting viewers to walk among and between them, guided by their own gaze and movement rather than a fixed perspective. This performance, sharing its title with the exhibition, traces the painterly afterimage of the works through scattered words and records of bodies lingering in the spaces between them. Through dialogue, breath, and movement structured around the words that form the exhibited works’ titles — each suggesting a direction, relation, or state of an event — the performance evokes not a fixed image or singular scene, but the sensation of “in between scenes,” the traces left where a scene once lingered.
